Since the canvas comes rolled, it may have some creases or curl to it when you first open it. To flatten it out, flip the canvas over so the painting side faces down and gently roll it the other way, then leave it on a flat surface for a few minutes. You can also use the sticky pad included in your kit to help keep it flat while you paint.

If there are any remaining creases, placing something flat and heavy on the edges for a little while can help. Avoid using heat to flatten it as this may damage the canvas.
